The Department of Residential Life is committed to providing a place of belonging for the residential students at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.  We act as champions for our residents, seeking to create a safe space where every person is honored and celebrated in their individuality and personal identity.   
 
ResLife Staff serve in a variety of roles through the Summer and Academic Year that create culture, collaborate with campus partners, and provide exceptional customer service to the residential community at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ.

Resident Assistant: RAs live in designated spaces, providing support to their residential community. Students who thrive in this role are strong community builders, want to foster connections among residents, create culture within their community, and serve as a resource to their peers.

Community Leader:
Collaborating closely with professional staff in their assigned building, CLs contribute to fostering a positive culture within their designated hall communities. Students who thrive in this role have strong organizational skills, can help navigate conflict, and are interested in learning how to lead. This position is only open to returning RA staff.

**NEW** Community Assistant:
CAs provide front-desk support for the Residential Halls at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. CAs are active and integral members of the ResLife staff. They are fully trained and trusted to respond to customer service, student support, conduct incidents, and crisis response needs. Students who thrive in this role are interested in being a member of the greater community.

**NEW** Marketing Assistant:
The Marketing Assistant manages social media and marketing for the Department of Residential Life. This includes, but is not limited to, Instagram, Tik Tok, graphic design, and flyer creation. Students who thrive in this role are creative, interested in marketing and communications, and are experienced in using social media to tell stories.

SUMMER 2024 OPEN POSITIONS


Operations Assistant: OAs support residents and guests residing in the Residential Halls through the Summer terms. They assist with Campus and Conferences, work desk shifts, and complete rounds. Individuals in this role will need a high degree of flexibility in their week, and the ability to work during high peak times of the summer.  OAs do NOT need to hold other ResLife roles. This is a great option for students interested in facilities management or in need of summer work/housing.

**NEW** Residential Life Assistant: ResLife seeks to include student leadership, values, and ideas when planning the major onboarding events hosted by our Department each Fall. The ResLife Assistants will work alongside Pro Staff to plan and execute Freshman Move-in, Returning Student Move-in, and ResLife Staff Training.

HIRING PROCESS


Application: We encourage applicants to look over the application in advance. There are several short answer questions requiring preparation. A resume is also required and submitted through the application. A Letter of Intent is only required for CL Applicants. 
 
Interviews: The ResLife staff application will remain open beginning Wednesday, November 1st and close Friday, January 12th at 5PM. Students will be notified by January 19, 2024, of their application status. Candidates invited to interviews will be provided with details beforehand!  
 
Training: ResLife Staff will complete an online training module through blackboard on their own time in the Summer and attend in-person Training in August. Dates will be provided when positions are offered. 
 
Resources: Applicants are encouraged to make an appointment with Career Management! They can offer resume building, interview prep, and even professional clothing to those in need. 

Summer 2024 and Academic Year 24-25 ResLife Staff offers will be sent by March 1, 2024.
