The Department of Residential Life is committed to providing a place of belonging
for the residential students at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ. We act as champions for
our residents, seeking to create a safe space where every person is honored and celebrated
in their individuality and personal identity.
ResLife Staff serve in a variety of roles through the Summer and Academic Year that
create culture, collaborate with campus partners, and provide exceptional customer
service to the residential community at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ.
OPEN POSITIONS ​​
The ResLife Staff Application opens on August 24th, 2026 for Summer 2027 and the Academic Year 27-28. We invite students to submit one central application indicating interest in a variety of roles. Please carefully review each linked job description before submitting an application!

Resident Assistant: RAs live in designated spaces, providing support to their residential community. Students
who thrive in this role are strong community builders, want to foster connections
among residents, create culture within their community, and serve as a resource to
their peers.

Community Leader: Collaborating closely with professional staff in their assigned building, CLs contribute
to fostering a positive culture within their designated hall communities. Students
who thrive in this role have strong organizational skills, can help navigate conflict,
and are interested in learning how to lead. This position is only open to returning RA staff.

Community Assistant: CAs provide front-desk support for the Residential Halls at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ.
CAs are active and integral members of the ResLife staff. They are fully trained and
trusted to respond to customer service, student support, conduct incidents, and crisis
response needs. Students who thrive in this role are interested in being a member
of the greater community.

SUMMER 2027 OPEN POSITION
-
Resident Assistant: RAs support residents and guests residing in the Residential Halls through the Summer terms. They assist with Campus and Conferences, work desk shifts, and complete rounds. Individuals in this role will need a high degree of flexibility in their week, and the ability to work during high peak times of the summer. RAs do NOT need to hold other ResLife roles. This is a great option for students interested in facilities management or in need of summer work/housing.

HIRING PROCESS
Application: We encourage applicants to look over the application in advance. There are several
short answer questions requiring preparation. A resume and letter of intent are also
required and submitted through the application.
Interviews: The ResLife Staff application will open Monday, August 24th, and close Tuesday, September
8th at 5:00 PM. Individual interviews will take place October 5th-16th, 2026. Candidates
selected to move forward in the hiring process will be offered a place in the Spring
RA Class by October 21st, 2026. The class will take place during the first 8-weeks
of the Spring 2027 Term.
Training: ResLife Staff will complete the Spring 2027 RA Class during the first 8 weeks of the
Spring 2027 Term. Prior to the start of the Fall 2027 Term, ResLife Staff will return
to campus early for in-person training. Important & required dates will be provided
when positions are offered in March 2027.
Resources: Applicants are encouraged to make an appointment with the Career Design & Exploration office! They can offer resume building, interview prep, and even professional clothing to
those in need.

- On-Campus Job Fair: August 27th 11:00am-2:00pm
- Residential Life Hiring Info Session: September 1st 6:00pm-7:00pm
Summer 2027 and Academic Year 27-28 ResLife Staff offers will be sent by March 10th, 2027.
