Jeremiah Carter

Jeremiah Carter is an Assistant Professor of English and Humanities at Jacksonville University. He teaches courses in African American literature, humanities, and composition. He has a BA from Hampton University, an MA from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a PhD from the University of Alabama, which he earned in 2024.
One of Jeremiah's humanities courses is titled "The Art of Storytelling: American History through African American Autobiography" at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. The course explores the rich tradition of Black autobiography in various forms and its ability to produce dynamic, authentic, and comprehensive American histories. His research focuses on the expanding landscape of Black autobiography.
