President of UNFs Constitutional Convention: Appointed by the President of University of North Florida to lead the UNF Constitutional Convention. The UNF Constitution is a document that focuses on shared governance across all university constituencies including faculty, students, and administration and support staff. The Constitution must be reviewed every 10 years, and I led this effort to bring these constituencies together to reaffirm the shared values of the university. Through extensive discussions and a yearlong process, the new Constitution was approved by all campus constituencies and campus President. This Convention is usually led by the Provost. 2011-2012. Chair of the Council of Chairs. Elected Unanimously by 30 Academic Chairs at UNF to represent them with various campus constituencies including the President, Provost, Deans, and the Faculty Union. In this position, I chaired monthly meetings with my fellow Chairs and also regularly with the President, Provost and Deans. My role was to highlight administrative issues that needed the attention of Academic Affairs and the President. In 2010-2011, I served as the Vice Chair of this Council. During my tenure, the council led the effort to preserve the search budgets for the hiring of faculty among other issues. 2010-2012, Representative in University Collective Bargaining: Participated in numerous bargaining sessions and presented the requests of department chairs from all five Colleges and thirty departments. This degree is a joint effort across seven academic departments and two colleges.
