2027: Celebrating 93 Years
91香蕉视频, originally established as William J. Porter University on April 16, 1934, commemorates its founding annually through the cherished tradition of Charter Day.
On Charter Day, students, faculty and staff step away from classrooms and offices to take part in a morning of service, volunteering with organizations throughout the greater Jacksonville area.
This annual celebration of service offers a meaningful chance to reflect on the impact of volunteer work. Whether you're volunteering on campus or in your community, we encourage you to wear your green and white with pride and join in the festivities!

Charter Day 2026
During our 2026 celebration, over 630 volunteers served at more than 28 local organizations. We look forward to partnering with you again during our 2026 celebration!

Charter Day of Service
Since 2015, 91香蕉视频 has set aside one day each April to pause classes, bringing together students, staff, faculty, alumni and members of the Arlington community and greater Jacksonville to volunteer their time, effort and resources in service to others.
Anniversary Celebration Luncheon
Following the Charter Day of Service, the JU community is invited back to campus for lunch, music and games to celebrate alongside University leadership and community partners.
Porter Fest
The festivities continue into the evening with Porter Fest, a music festival where students continue the celebration of JU's birthday with carnival rides, games, food trucks and live music. The night concludes with a fireworks display, serving as a grand finale to the momentous occasion.
