Apply to
Graduate
You must complete the required application for graduation, located on My JU. Click on the JU Self-Service link and then on the "Graduation" tab.
Not sure if you've applied yet? Check the Graduation Overview section. This list is updated on the 15th of each month. Being on the list indicates only that you have applied to graduate, not that you have met your degree requirements.
Applying for graduation is not the same as registering to walk at commencement. These are separate steps that must both be completed if you would like to participate in your commencement ceremony.
Meet Degree Requirements
Please check your Degree Audit on Self-Service to make sure all the requirements are showing as registered or completed. If it does not, please stop by or call the Registrar’s Office at (904) 256-7090 or visit ju.edu/registrar
Register to Walk in Commencement
If you would like to be included in the program, you must register to participate in commencement by April 1, 2026.
Order Cap
and Gown
Everything can be ordered through the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ bookstore from our third-party vendor, Herff Jones. All orders will be shipped directly to the graduate. The university will not be taking gowns back after graduation. Please return yours using the prepaid label you are provided.
Additional alumni gear and gifts are available through the .
Deadline to order gear is March, 13.
Review
Financial Status
There are no fees directly associated with commencement, but please be sure to settle all outstanding financial matters with Student Financial Services prior to graduation.
Have your JU student account paid in full by April 15.

Complementary golf cart transportation will be provided throughout all ceremonies to assist anyone in need of services.
All of our buildings have accessible bathrooms located on the first floor of each building. They are also identified by signage with the handicapped symbol.
Reserved parking for persons with state-issued handicapped permits will be available in Employee Parking Lot A located near Gooding Building. Parking is also available in any handicapped space on campus that is not restricted due to commencement.
Shuttle services and golf carts will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to transport guests from all campus parking locations to the Science Green for each commencement ceremony.
